NONDISCOUNTABLE
Bhuvaneshvari is considered the supreme goddess who creates everything and destroys all the unnecessary evils of world. She is associated with the energy essential to creation. She viewed as the Queen of the universe, the universe is her body and all beings are ornaments. She is the heart of the universe and the universe is in her heart.
Bhuvaneshvari's beauty is renowned. She is most beautiful with a radiant vermillion complexion, her face framed with luxurious hair the color of jet. Her eyes are expansive and expressive, her lips full and red, and her nose petite. She has a tiny waist and her body exquisite. Her beautiful throat is decorated with ornaments. It comes as no surprise that Shiva is said to have produced a third eye to view her more thoroughly. She is pictured with four arms, two of them removing fear and granting boons (blessings) with the Varada Mudrā.
The Varada Mudrā ("favorable mudrā") signifies offering, welcome, charity, giving, compassion and sincerity. It is nearly always shown made with the left hand by a revered figure devoted to human salvation from greed, anger and delusion. It can be made with the arm crooked and the palm offered slightly turned up or in the case of the arm facing down the palm presented with the fingers upright or slightly bent. Bhuvaneshvari’s other two hands hold a goad and a noose. These represents control of evil forces as well as inner issues of anger, lust and anything that comes in the way of spiritual growth.
Bhuvaneshvari is also considered as the Mother goddess of Kali, Lakshmi, and Saraswati also Gayatri. In Hindu Mythology she is considered as the most powerful goddess in the universe. She is also known as Om Shakti or Adi Shakti, one of the earliest forms of Shakti. Bhuvaneshvari is the cosmos personified as a goddess.
She is capable of turning situations according to her wish. It is considered that even the navagrahas (cosmic influences) cannot stop her from doing anything. Worship of her creates a cosmic vision. Bhuvaneshvari is one of the Mahavidyas (transformations) of goddesses and represent the ferocious aspect of Devi. The other Mahavidyas include Kali, Tara, Lailta Tripura Sundari, Bhairavi, Bagalamukhi, Dhumavati, Chinnamasta, Kamala and Matangi.
