Powering Up: The Shamanic way
One of the questions I get a lot is, "How do you make your Attunements/spells/talismans so strong?" There are a lot of answers to this question, and I usually give the simplest one- I was trained in traditional methods, so my work reflects that: proper timing and materia, using invocations of alignment, etc. so I am drawing on ancient forces and the collective subconscious, and that feeds into a lot of my work. For instance, the Healing Bowl Empowerment isn't just a bowl of wax that I've empowered. It is a bowl that I filled with appropriate herbs and objects, performed a 4 hour ritual with, and THEN empowered it with healing energies.
Beyond that, the next answer is, I use a technique taught to me by my mentor using the Orbs of Life. When I am empowering an object, a spell, an attunement, or anything else, I call down my oldest unused Orb of Life. It is then given a specific set of commands: first, I have it replicate and absorb the energies I have raised during the ritual, or the energies of the talisman, or whatever I am working on at the time. Then, the orb is commanded to replicate and absorb all associated energies from the beginning of time until now that are not protected against replication and that would work to the highest good of myself and anyone who would receive this energy. Then, it is told to replicate and absorb all excess unused energy in the multiverse from the beginning of time until now. Finally, it is told to continuously update itself every month during the New Moon with any new energies that come into existence since it's last update, and to further strengthen itself by replicating and absorbing unused energy. Because of the Universal Spiritual Laws, and the fact that time is non-existent in the spiritual world, these things are done instantly, and continue to update forever. In this way, I create things that continue to grow and adapt, becoming ever stronger. However, there is a third, secret method that I haven't discussed until now.
In my temple, I have a deity altar. On that deity altar are bowls and jars, filled with objects of power such as relics and talismans I've acquired from other places, as well as those I've made for myself, or things that I made for clients, but was dissatisfied with their appearance and so made a replacement and kept the ugly one for myself, or things I made on commission that were then not paid for and so stayed with me. Essentially, these vessels are collection points for various power tools I have collected over the years. This altar is my point of devotion to the gods, and so it's power fills me every time I make offerings there. But more than that, it acts as a battery. The orb of life that powers my other workings is also given another set of commands: during its monthly recharge, it is also commanded to replicate and absorb all excess power from that altar. It is also commanded to replicate and absorb all associated energies from that altar that would assist its purpose and serve the highest good of myself and anyone who would access those energies. What this means is, you benefit from the boost that comes from my monthly Puja services with Mahakali, and you benefit from any new Talismans added to that altar. So, if you have, for instance, the Healing Bowl Empowerment, and I add a new talisman of healing to that altar next month, your empowerment will automatically update with that energy as well. In this way, I don't have to release 'energy updates' for my Attunements, and my talismans continue to become more effective over time.
